Representative Jerry Weiers has committed to drafting a Bill to the next legislative session in 2009 to replicate our current Federal Laws which provide SDVOB's and VOB's a minimum of 3% set asides for Federal contracting and procurement. Our membership database makes its debut today on the Members page. This database, though still in active development, is designed to give potential employers a useful point of reference for finding SDVOB's and VOB's in the state of Arizona.

The Elite SDVOB of Arizona has been developing a membership database in conjunction with Tucson-based Digital North American. This new database is slated to launch shortly and will enable prospective employers to contact SDVOBs and VOBs throughout Arizona.
SDVOB Launches New Website

The new website for Arizona's Elite SDVOB launched on May 28, 2008. For consistency, the domain name has been changed from http://dvbeaz.org to http://sdvob-az.org. In the coming weeks and months, the SDVOB Membership Database will be made available, along with other features such as online membership management and electronic payment for membership dues.
SDVOB Begins VIN Campaign

The Elite Arizona SDVOB has joined forces with Digital North American, a Tucson-based digital signage and communications company, on the VIN -- the Veterans Issues Network. The VIN is a network focused on our country's active duty personnel and veteran communities. With the help of the SDVOB's generous corporate sponsors, the network of high-profile, flat-screen LCD HDTV monitors will soon be installed inside busy places such as corporate and government buildings, airport and bus terminal corridors, VA medical facilities, post-offices, and more.
Once in place, VIN will carry video tributes to our fallen soldiers, stories from the front lines, news relevant to veterans, interesting photographs, and more. The network will also feature marketing campaigns from veteran trade organizations, SDVOBs, and corporations providing sponsorship funds.
Numerous homeless veterans and families who live on the city parks and streets need a little extra help to make it through the summer. You can help by donating to our summer project “Water and Ice for the Homeless Veterans”.
