Our office is initiating a national audit of VA’s Veteran-Owned (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) programs. The purpose of the audit is evaluate VA’s oversight of the VOSB and SDVOSB programs. Specifically, the audit will determine (1) whether VA has effective management controls in place to oversee the VOSB/SDVOSB programs, and (2) do VOSBs/SDVOSBs awarded sole-source and set-aside contracts meet the requirements for initial and continued program eligibility.

In support of this audit, the VA OIG Office of Investigations has requested that Veterans Service Organization’s (VSOs) provide their members with VA OIG Hotline contact information so that potentially fraudulent (ineligible) VOSBs/SDVOSBs can be referred for possible investigation. VSOs and their members can contact the VA OIG Hotline via mail, overnight delivery, fax, telephone, or email and can remain anonymous by request.
