In Memory of Our Fallen Heros

 

SPC Lori Ann Piestewa (December 14, 1973–March 23, 2003),the first American Indian woman to give her life for us and Country in overseas combat. She chose to stay with her Master Sergeant and close friend Jessica Lynch to the end, driving the Humvee picking up comrades stranded during the ambush in Nasiriah, Iraq.She was an enrolled member of the Hopi Tribe and first woman in the U.S. armed forces killed in the 2003 Iraq war. She leaves us her two children Brandon and Carla Piestewa
